8000 answers a week is over 1000 a day, say 10 hours at 100 an hour, which is more than one a minute. Isnt that sad?

Goes far beyond being sad, it makes me wonder if that is actually a real score!

I personally don't believe that anyone answers that many a week, and I think that the eprson the account belongs to either works for yahoo or has worked out a way to get around the scoring system.

Wow... and my boyfriend thinks I am addicted to yahoo answers... I haven't reached level 2 yet so I think I am safe from having to join yahoo answers anonymous just yet!!

I wish I had the time to do that... of course I would not be answering that many questions because I would be out enjoying the sunshine or coming up with more ways to drive my boyfriend mad... in a good way obviously :-)

Sounds like they may be having a helping hand...or 5.
Not even the saddest, most socially inept people in the world could keep that pace up for 10 hours a day.
mmmmmmmmm - sounds suspicious to me ????!!!

Well for all we know this person could be sharing there account with somebody, so many ppl are actualy answering questions instead of just one. Also you need to look at the quality of the answers. If there mostly smart aleck comments, or lame one liners then that could also explain it.

Some people confuse quality with quantity and never underestimate the lengths some saddos will go to be able to say " look at my answer rate - girls really like that ... well they would if I wasn't typing for 18hrs constantly ( slight tear in left eye as futility of his life kicks in - futility changes to denial ) ..... yeah , yeah well look at MY answer rate !!! "

I wonder if you can have log-on to the same account using multiple machines ??
