people talking junk to me because i wear du rags is it only legal for a black person to wear du rag? (not a racist question!)

Did you purchase it from a store that advertised them like that - you don't know how to come back on individuals when they are "jones' on you!
Practice this at home, with a close friend, or someone close - this could be embarassing!
Usually when someone "jones" you about your choice of dress or style because it's not prevalent from the (I assume) 'white boy' culture! You "jones" back - make a statement about their attire - if this is done in fun - not anger or as a way to harrass someone! If you don't feel threatened "jones" back - if you do - you need to find another solution.
But at some point - you need to learn to stand up for yourself - now - if you don't - you'll learn how never to.
It's your right to wear what ever you like - wear the du rag!
Speak to some of your African American friends - if you don't have any - just learn how to deal with it - without being the victim!
Stand up for your rights!
One day on the play ground or wherever you and these people are together - make a statement, a declaration!
I'm a white boy! And I like to wear my white du rag! I like my du rag! I think that I should be able to wear my du rag without any conversation or opinion from anyone! Everybody for the rights of a white boy wearing his white du rage - raise their hands! Everyone will laugh, especially the individuals giving you a hard time or they will take notice.
Take a stand! Be a Man! White Boys can wear du rags of all colors!

And by the way, du rags look stupid on anyone.

well it's not illigal but it's more of a black peoples thing(i'm not being racist since i'm black myself) and u wearing a du rag makes it look as if you tryna act black or something,(i'm not saying you tryna act black)and its sometimes offensive to people(who really shoukd use their brain if they have one).u can wear your du rag but don't complain if u get nasty comments!!

I'm not racists either, (married to a black man, 2 mixed kids) but I'm tired of everything having to be about race, and being a poser. If a white girl wears braids she's trying to be black. Was Bo Derek trying to be black when she wore them in her 100 years ago?????

Just don't be acting like someone you aren't. If you are wearing it to appear a certain way, stop. IF you are doing it for you then go for it.. Just be you and don't worry about others opinion of you.

lots of the bikers we hang out with wear them. most of them are white. i'd like to see someone say something to them about it!
