It's a sunny day every day--if you're above the clouds. If you're below the clouds, then it seems like a cloudy day...
Just yesterday, there was a dark cloud just about level with my window and it was raining, but just a few feet away, the sun was shining. Looking down on a roof way below, I saw rain on part of the roof and dry on the other part.
I'm not sure if that's what you mean, or if you mean rain on a cloudless day...In that case, I'd have to say no, not rain, though a very light drizzle is possible, I suppose, if the water vapor being sucked up encounters a cold front and falls immediately without forming a cloud that we can see.

My man, you've been listening to too many old songs, lol. And, yeah, I saw the rain coming down on a sunny day just a few days ago, on Independence Day, as a matter of fact. What a sight!

According to Japanese and Korean superstition, to be married on a day where the rain falls on a sunny day is a bad sign.
It means that the bride is what is called a "foxwife". She is possessed by an animal demon and will eventually take all of her husband's energy until he is dead.

Actually, yes. This is one of the many rare experiences livin' in Oregon. (It was partly cloudy, but mostly sunny.) I noticed you're quoting that from Creedence Clearwater Revival. Good Call.

Yes. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can see for miles across the bay, and watch rainstorms roll across it while your location stays sunny. We get some wonderful rainbows here. (and the song is good, too :-) )
