As I said I went to see "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" staring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann at midnight tonight. The first movie will always keep the first spot in my heart, but this one was really good too. I love Captain Jack Sparrow!!

It was like t TV episode not a movie, too many open plot points. The film never had a conclusion, and I realize it has a sequel but if a film doesn't have any kind of conclusion then what's the point. I didn't need for them to find Jack but not make a 4 hour movie, cut it in half and called Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Part 3 will be the second part of the film. Have film makers become so lazy that they can't even make a decent hang-cliff ending? But it was funny.

I just got back from it and it was freaking awesome!! I still like first one better though, because Barbossa is my favorite character in it and the dialogue was absolutely brilliant in the first movie.
If you do go to see this movie, the last 10-15 minutes are the best part of it. The whole movie is great, but the last part had me almost scream out "OH SH*T!!!" in the middle of a packed theater.

Yuck!! Too much squid, not enough Jack, and the plot was so confusing. But I could have had a whole movie of Jack getting it on with Elizabeth..now that was hot!!

It was only average. I went to see the midnight screening too...
The ending was CRAP.
That Davey Jones was a comedic relief. Everytime he talked he made me laugh. It wasn't scary. OOOh Tenticles...
The scene with the waterwheel... that was so fake.
Everything was so animated.
It was MUCH less amazing than the first pirates.
