The mighty Mariners have been mighty inconsistent of late, dropping five in a row and looking very bad against the Angels. So...do they recover (thank goodness they don't face Verlander), or do they continue their slide? Is there any hope that they will catch Oakland?

The Kiss of Death! The Mariners will be wearing Seattle Pilots jerseys for the last game of this series. The Pilots were so bad that they fled Seattle after one year (1969) and eventually the entire American League (they are now the Milwaukee Brewers). You can read about them in Jim Bouton's "Ball Four."

Seattle will be no easy task for The Tigers.

One thing I like about JIm Leyland is that he stresses one game at a time. He doesn't allow the players to get ahead of themselves.

Bondermen goes tonight
Robertson goes Saturday
Zach Miner goes Sunday

Hopefully 2 of 3....but we'll see.

No offense to White Sox fans, but I am rooting for Boston this weekend!

GO RED SOX!!!

Seattle is not an easy team to beat, the Tigers are having a great year however and it should show to be a good series. I think the Tigers will take 2 of 3.

i imagine it turned right into a honest bypass for the Mariners. Seattle is in favor of quickly base runner besides Ichiro and yet another gold glove defender. Ms third base has been an situation with Adrian Beltre beginning 111 video games with purely 8 HRs and 40 4 RBI. With freshen up spots improving nicely with Russell Branyan and Franklin Gutierrez, that is going to advance up run nicely with Figgins in line up who become second in AL with runs very last season and has .388 OBP career Avg. As a Mariners Season ticker holder, i visit relish gazing Figgins on Seattle' facet each and every interest for upcoming season. I in simple terms desire he does not recieve Mariners curse.

for one, against the rockies, we were close in both games we lost, for 2, the rockies are one of of a very small number of national league teams that has a winning record against american league teams,

also, the angels always beat the hell out of us when they are in seattle, just like we do them when we are in anahiem.

which brings to question, the tigers, while i admit they are damn good this year, will they be able to handle felix hernandez and jamie moyer? i say no, jamie has been on a tear lately, and felix is now officially back to normal

all i can say is it will not be a sweep either way, but look for mariners to shcok everyone and take 2 of 3

Tigers are gonna beat Mariners this weekend. Don't think Seatle will catch Oakland, but they'll have a few more good games this year...nothing to write home about. Sorry Mariner fans- just my opinion. ; )
