Two come to mind
Amost Famous: the film truly captured the essence and spirit of the innocent but wild-ride 70's era of rock n' roll. The story was so well written, you understand why some during the 70's felt that decade's sound of rock KILLED what they felt was TRUE rock, done in the 60's.
It's also a good comming of age/romance story with a clear understory of the values of loyal friendships. And the music soundtrack was awesome as well.
Forrest Gump: A very well written story that had my heart touched by Gump through his interwoven tales of his unwitting adventures of life as well as those in his inner circle--that expanded outwards amazingly. The music score on this film was equally epic as well.
