Within a group atomic size generally increases with increasing atomic number. One exception to the rule is in group IIIA (the Boron group) where Gallium's atomic radius is less than Aluminum's despite Ga. being further down the column.

Size increases with mol. wt. as a general trend. However there are aberrations depending in which orbital electrons are added as atomic number increases
