beneficial? depends on what you are looking for..

physically, yes in the pool will be less impact, and you might use more muscles.. but I would rather swim laps and get a better workout

mentally.. I think jogging in the water is boring! there is no way I could do it for more than 5 mins.. I rather be outside jogging in a park.. thats more beneficial to me, because I am not bored and Iam getting good excercise for longer

In the pool is definately better. Light resistance, and near zero impact on thr joints.

Swimming is he best as it is less risky for your body and it is nice too, to move as many muscles as possible.
