I am just wondering how to find middle C on piano. I play guitar already, but I just got my first keyboard today, and have alot to learn. If somebody could explain a very simple way to locate middle C, it would help get me started. Thanks!

I usually find mine on the floor somewhere around my piano bench.

It often pops out and flies off when my girlfriend is really getting into Rachmaninoff or Liszt.

Grab one side of the piano with each hand. Next, reach down and touch your nose to the keyboard.

Assuming that it's a normal 88-key full size piano and your arms are the same length, your nose should fall right between an E and F. The C just to the left of that is middle C (that's why they call it that, it's the C closest to the middle).

Okay, you can skip the nose part, just go for the middle :)

In the middle of the keyboard, observe the black and white notes.you will notice that the black keys are in groups of 2 and 3.The White key to the left of the black keys that are grouped as "2" is middle C.

well, first look in the middle of the piano.

next locate the white key that is to the right of a grouping of 2 black keys and three white keys. to the left there is only one white key, no black. this key is middle C.

the black keys are sharps and flats, and since c doesn't have a c flat, there will be no black key to its right, and since there is no e sharp that will have no black key to the right of it either.

just use common sense as well, see what sounds the closest if you're still unsure.

It should be somewhere near the middle, a little on the left side of the logo (if there is one on your keyboard.) It is on the left by two black keys.

Edit:

To be more clear, it's only if the logo is in the middle of your keyboard.

My favorite secret; make cool tunes with just black keys.
