I have seen several people protesting on here. What is the goal? If someone were to protest one of their causes, would they change their ways?

Protesters are attempting to change something that is bad that will not change naturally because too many people are comfortable with the status quo. It has worked in the past. Why do you suppose Christians who aren't Catholic are called Protestants?

It's possible...some people are impressionable and some are not. Protesters are protesting to people and hoping that they can at least change the impressionable. Protesting has been around for many, many years and will be around for many, many more. Just take it with a grain of salt and know where you stand and why.

The purpose of a protest is not necessarily to change anyone's ways, but to heighten public awareness. If the protests you refer to have caused you to think about the issues they are targeting, then they have achieved their goal.

protesters wanna raise awareness for causes in attempt to make the corld a better place. sometimes they get involved in situations that are none of their business, other times they help a little. but there's one thing thats similar about all protesters that pisses me off. all their opinions are shallow. either somethings right or wrong, black or white, ex. war, abortion, PETA. thats just bs

I guess you're asking would another person change their ways.

Yes, people do change their position on topics. Protesters hope to take an uninformed person and educate them as to their position.

their goal is to get the people that are doing something wrong
(the ones they are protesting to) to change.

although it is doubtful that this ever happens.
