I would say your starter. Does it crank, but won't turn over?

Two things you have to have, spark and fuel. Spark is easy, pull any one plug wire and hold it about 1/2 inch from frame ground (any where on engine) and see if you have spark when some one else "cranks" the engine. Checking for fuel is a bit harder with injectors ( carburetors are easy ), if you are lucky, there may be a fuel filter on the fire wall that will tell you if there is fuel there.
If you are gettingg spark (and are one of those that runs the gas near out before gettin more)(never, never, let it get below about 1/2 tank on any later model car,due the fuel pump is in the tank)
you may have a bad in tank fuel pump.

It could be that the battery is low but still have enuf power to light a bulb or a radio which is less power consuming than an engine.
It could also be that ur started motor is not workin properly.
In both cases a push start will do the job of gettin it started.
If it starts movin take it to workshop first

If it cranks, but wont turn over then either the starter is bad or the alternator is bad. If the car can be jump-started, then the alternator is bad. If it cannot be jumped, then the starter is probably shot.
If it wont do anything at all, no crank and wont jump, then it is your starter solenoid.
