My mate has been bagging the crap out of my GF, he hasn't even met her, today i told her what he thinks of her, she said "mitch, I lied, what ppl think of me does matter" so what do I do in order to tell her that this isn't the case, that its my opinion that matters and not everyone elses, but also how do I have my mate stop bagging her out considering that he dosen't even know her (we live in tassie, he lives in WA) ???

Is your friend gay? Does he have a girlfriend? Ask him what his problem is? Maybe he is jealous that you have a girlfriend. I suggest you ditch your friend and make your girlfriend happy. Separate the men from the boys, because your friend is a boy who wants to make your life miserable. Good luck budz.

It sounds to me like your mate feels threatened by your GF. Is it possible that you are so happy and in love, that you have talked a lot about her? To the point where your mate thinks that he will loose you as a friend or that he wont be able 2 hang out as much with you? My husbands family and friends had to get used to the idea that I came first. There was a lot of talk and teasing. Not to mention jealousy. So tell your GF not to worry. That your mate will be fine and he will most likely see that he was wrong.

If you love your woman enough, you would tell your mate that if he continues to "bag" on her that the relationship between you two is finished. If your mate chooses to shut up then he would respect your wishes. If not, it's his loss and not yours. Your girlfriend is what should matter the most. Why? because you're the one she sees when she goes to bed and when she wakes. She's the one you'll be spending your life with...not with your mate... Friends come and go, but true love only comes once...And to make it up to your girlfriend, tell her you love her and that you woudn't dare to choose your mate over her. Good luck to you.

First of all talk to you girlfriend.. Assure her that you love her and you really care for her.. Tell her that you fell in love with what she is and that is everthing for you.. Also talk to your friend who may be worried or jealous of you and her.. Say that if he is a real friend he'll stop talking like that about the girl you love and especially since he has not met her..

dont talk to him bout her or is that the only thing you all talk about if so mayybe he uses doggin her as a defense for insecurities do u want to date someone who is well what if the shoe was on ur gfs foot would she stick up for u how
if u have nothing to talk about except her then maybe you dont like this person as`much as`u think if u cant communicate openly walking on egg shells in other areas?????

Well, if he has never met her then the only thing he is going on is what you tell him about her. In other words, maybe you should think about what you tell him about her. I did the same thing with my husband, I would call my family and complain about this and that with him and then be mad when they talked bad about him. So if you want him to be positive about her, keep your negative comments to yourself.

He's secretly in love with you and wants her out of the picture.
You can test this theory by asking him if he'd like to go fishing up on brokeback mountain and he shows up with no fishing supplies.
