Everyone seems to think that it is fine to joke with blondes but could you imagine the uproar it would cause if you take the exact same joke but instead of using a blonde, you use a black person, jewish person or whatever other creed or religion.
It's wrong regardless of who is the butt of the joke.

Kimon,
Of course there are lots of jokes about black people, jewish people etc. And most of them people would laugh at.
However the difference comes in that it is socially acceptable to make fun of blondes and most definitely not for other creeds or religions.
If I had to walk into a mall and crack a racist joke, people would be disgusted and would probably want to hurt me :-) This is not the same as if I had to crack a blonde joke where 99% of people wouldn't care.

I'm not saying that there shouldn't be blonde jokes - I laugh at them just as much as everyone else (some of these posted here are pretty funny).
It's just that if there are, then it should be socially acceptable to joke about EVERYONE. There shouldn't be a double standard.

You're right, Orion. Stereotyping is always stupid. (I still laugh though... mea culpa; mea culpa...)

When I was a kid, back in the dark ages, there used to be moron jokes. Eg. Why did the moron throw the clock out of the window? Answer: Because he wanted to see time fly. Jokes based on the idea of someone not knowing something is one of the most basic types of humor. It isn't kind or polite but I doubt that it will go away. In fact some of the blonde jokes I've heard are really quite clever. It's unfortunate that someone has to be the butt of such humor. Perhaps the best thing to do is come up with a new designated ignorant person every now and then. Kind of spread it around. I also think it makes for better natured humor if the victim is not somebody who is already down trodden. I don't think I would find homeless people jokes funny, or dumb Walmart employee jokes. Maybe one reason blondes are such a pleasant target is the we tend to associate blondness with privilege. Eg. Blondes have more fun. Gentlemen prefer blondes. What other privileged category of people might we find to poke fun at if we want to give the blondes a break for a while?

Not really, especially when people tell a blonde joke, then look at me and start apologizing, I laugh myself to tears (my hair is light brown, with natural blonde highlights). I know I wouldn't do those things, and I know there are women who would, regardless of hair color.
Also, those jokes are a denotation that people envy blondes and try to find ways to revile them, so they cover their inferiority complex by attacking what is, in their perception, blondes' weakest side.
For my part, I think some of those jokes are very funny (and some are very stupid) and never mind that the target is denoted as "blondes", that is no more informative than "policemen" or "batter-men" jokes.

Joke one:
A blonde and a brunette are driving down the highway in a convertible. The brunette knows that she's speeding so she asks the blonde if there's a cop behind them. The blonde looks behind her and sees a cop and tells the brunette. The brunette then asks if his he's got his lights on. The blonde replies "Yes...No...Yes...No...Yes...No"
Joke 2: A brunette says to a blonde "Look! A dead bird!" and the blonde looks up and says "Where?"
Joke 3: A blonde executive was driving by a field one day when she saw a blonde rowing a boat in the middle of a dirt field. She drove over to her and said, "It's idiots like you that give blondes a bad name, and if I could swim I would come over there and kick your ***!"
Joke 4: What's the difference between a rooster and a blonde?
A rooster says cock-le-dood-le-doo...
A blonde says any-cock-le-doo...
Joke 5: There were these three women who escaped from prison. A blonde and two brunets. So to get away from the cops they hid in an abandoned farm house. In the farm house there were three burlap sacks sitting around. So they hid in them. When the cops came to the farm house the one of the cops saw the sacks, the officers yells, "There's just three burlap sacks in here!" To which his partner replies, "Then kick them just to be sure it's not them hiding". The officer goes and kicks the one with the brunet in it and she yells, "MEEEYYOWW!" the officer said "Oh, its just a stupid cat in there." So he kicks the one with the other brunet in it and she yells, "RUUFFF RUFFF!", so the officer says, "Oh, it's just a stupid dog!" Then he kicks the sack with the blonde in it and she yells, "POTATOES!"
I think these jokes are funny....But I have nothing against blondes!
lol

In general, blondes have an easier life than lots of other folks. Most white people wish they were blonde at one time or another. That being the case, they can put up with a few jokes at their expense. If you cant laugh at yourself, you're truly lost.
How do you define eternity?
Four blondes at a 4-way stop.

Oh come on - do tell! i have not heard any good Li'l Georgie jokes. of direction everytime he makes a speech, you could get truly amusing by using in simple terms listening to it!! What a loser. Don' t you want how the conceited like prick likes to communicate right down to us? - yet he's so stupid he doesn't comprehend that we've seen by skill of him all alongside. an excellent style of the Li'l Georgie jokes i have heard were retreads from different presidents - that is not honest. I call for brand spanking new Georgie jokes.

Blonde jokes can't be too offensive - it is the most popular color women use to dye their hair! The point is, they are just jokes revolving around a superficial visual cue - they do not mock a race, a religion, a creed, a region, a physical defect, an occupation, etc. "Lighten" up!

It is interesting that the first two answers appear to come from Blondes: the first can't spell blonde and the second can't spell 'tired', but at least she 'tried'.....................
I am Irish and have many Jewish friends. They tell me all the latest Jewish jokes and I tell them the Irish ones. As long as they are funny, who cares... Incidentally, in Ireland, all Irish jokes are renamed Kerry jokes, after the Kerry men who are supposed to be thick. For instance: All Kerry men when leaving Kerry, buy return tickets - to pretend that they are coming back. Or, the Kerry man who asked the ticket clerk for a return ticket. 'To where' he was asked, 'Back here, you silly idiot' he replied.
(I apologise to the first answerer, having made a Check Spelling and looking up the reference, I see that Blonde can also be spelt Blond - she is obviously, a brunette...........)

There isn't an uproar about every racy joke. It's discrimination in general. No, not just Jewish people and Black people are being thought of in this. Why do you think it isn't politically correct to call someone short?
