Piercings usually itch during healing and also get a little crusty thats why you are supposed to turn the earring in the shower.
If you think think the earring hole is infected call your doctor to get some antibiotics.
Even if it is infected they do not reccomend removing the earring. When you remove the earring the hole closes quickly and the infection does not drain properly. It is better to leave the earring in and the infection can drain out of the hole.

DO NOT USE PEROXIDE.. clean it 3-4times a day w/ antibacterial soap.. make sure it's antibacterial... don't put any ointments or creams on it. do not take the piercing out, it will close up..Take 50 mg of zinc a day, it promotes healing.Take it on a full stomach or you'll be sorry.. That's all you really need, if it doesn't clear up in about a week or gets significantly worse see a doctor or the person who pierced it.

itching is ok, that means it is healing.
If it is red, oozing, burning or hurting - then it is infected.
It sounds okay though.
Clean it all the time- the more the better, Don't play with it!!!! Wash your hands before you clean or touch your peircing. If you are really worried, go show your piercer (before you take it out) there is no point taking it out if there is nothing wrong

use provon soap (available at pharmacies), antibacterial solutions (like johnsons), and emu oil (get it at any GOOD piercing shop... also, dont get any more "mall shop" piercings. go to a tattoo shop and have your future piercings done with needles. the guns used at stores are reused on tons of people, and arent alwys properly sterilized
