it's not ok to shoot both...its cruel...n yes, they r both murder...though in different forms

Although some people feel it is ok to shoot a dog, this is not true. In the US and other countries, shooting a dog is cruelty to animals.
Murder in the definition of law is the killing of a human being. An animal does not come under the protection of the law in that regard.

It's not okay to shoot a dog.. At least where I am from there are laws that forbiden such action. Even if laws did not exist there is the law of nature and you as a human , most intelligent animal :P, should know what is ok and what's not.. Its called conscience..;P

It is not really ok to shoot an animal, but the reasoning would be that humans have souls and have an afterlife, while animals do not. Afterall, we do have the domain over all animals on the earth(as said in the bible).

Murder, shooting and the law are defined by man and implemented by man who does not want to be shot but may want to shoot a dog for pleasure and leisure.
different countries have different laws and shooting a dog may be legal in some and illegal in others

Who says its okay to shoot a dog? or are u just reffering to the expression: "I will shoot you like a dog!"
That expression means that you will shoot the person without thinking about it or having any emotion toward to act.

Its not ok to just shoot a dog. If your life is in danger from either Dog or Man then either may get shot.

Of course they are both murder. I have no idea why there is not a law that prohibits people from killing any animals without reason (ie the reasons it could have rabies, old age etc).

because a dog is an animal and therefore has no soul. besides that the definition of murder is hte killing of a person not animal
