I'm not trying to start a fight here or get a rise out of any republicans. I am just curious to see if any republicans are able to swallow their pride and admit they were wrong.

Just to let you know, I was never for the war. I saw straight through the lie from the beginning. It was pretty obvious that Dubya had a hard on for Saddam. BUT, because of the human aspect of what we've done, I don't think we should strand all these innocent Iraqi's with a destroyed country. Soooo....I do believe we should stay and rebuild their country.

It's strange that I'm anti war but now I'm for staying...oh well.

That being said, back to the original question.

Thankyou

Yes, As a registered Republican I'll admit the Administration screwed up. They were either lying, or misinformed. They knew there were no links to 9/11, but they kept implying that's why they were there - especially after they found no WMD's.

I'm waiting for one of these nutcase republicans to give us the same old lame excuse. You know the one, its the old "but we found them. mustard gas and serin"

Or you might here the lame lie of "Saddam had them, he had the Syrians hide them"

All those so called W.M.D's and yet no credible intelligence agency has found out about the Syrians hiding them. No satelite photo's, no credible witnesses, no informants, No nothing.

And when you try to use the serin gas excuse remember that it only has a shelf life of 2 months. The mustard gas was WW2 era stuff and was a joke. In fact most of the stuff is junk. Even Bush and Cheney think its no big deal.

Ever notice that when the oil guys get in the whitehouse (Bush the first, George W Bush, Dick Cheney) gas prices go up and we somehow find ourselves at war with an oil rich country? Lets be real, it was about oil. Cheney's Halliburton company got a no bid contract to seize Iraqi oil and do other work. Ironically Cheney has made over 8 million in profit from Halliburton since the Iraq war.

Slick Dick also gave a no bid contract to a fire fighting firm working in Iraq. The firm has strong tie's to Cheney.

Bush who has investments in the Carlyle group gave contracts to this very group thats in Iraq.

Don't worry when election time comes around the nutcase republicans will be gone. Polls show America is sick of the republicans. The republicans have done a horrible job so far. You have to ask with all the republican corruption charges, slagging economy, gas prices through the roof, lie's about the Iraq war, trying to screw us out of our social security, no capture of Bin Laden, wiretapping and a list of other freedoms their trying to take away, worst deficit in U.S history, the question is HAD ENOUGH YET!!!!

Bush got the same intel report as the Dems. Hilary and Joe Leiberman have supported this war at the time as well. I'm not a big Bush fan, but what lie are you talking about? Dude, all politicians are the same scum - if Gore / Kerry won, we'd all be on his case 'cause he would have done the same thing.

Your ignorance is incredibly obvious to anyone who pays even the slightest bit of attention. I encourage you to go back, prior to the war and research what your prominent liberals were saying about the Iraq situation. Heck, just to make it easy for you, look up what Mr. Clinton was saying about Saddam at the time. I guess they were lying too!

I don't know but if the liberals had any sense......which they don't, they would stop barking up the wrong tree. The republicants totally botched immigration and stood by while the country was flooded by an immigrant insurgency and they have spent the nation into record debt. This should be a no brain-er......but it ain't.

If they need convincing heres some help....
Best summary of how intellegence was handled
1) Will clear up the myth that everyone agreed
and that everyone got the same intellegence.
2) Will clear up where much of the intellegence came from
3) Will interview the main CIA analyst and present thier side.
