Not me, silence please. Noise just distracts.

Truly I study better when there is no music. I need lots of concentration and I am bothered by the smallest noise.
But as I am an music lover, sometimes I study while listening music. If I encounter a hard problem in my study I turn off the music and I turn it on after I solve the problem.
Music is relaxing me in my study breaks.
And sometimes I listen noisy music( dance or rock) to wake me up when I feel asleep...

I have music on in the background all the time while I study and it helps me to not be so uptight about studying and I can relax better. But each to one's own.

Oh Hell ya... My studies are all done in computer. Writing codes and debugging scripts. So I always do need Music as fuel to stay up all night. Music and Coffee. that's it!
Every sort of music works other than R&B.

I've tried, usually unsuccessfully. It doesn't even matter if there are no lyrics. I think I work best under complete silence. Even the clock ticking distracts me. Then again, I hate studying, so anything and everything can and will distract me!

I can't! I am not so talented. But my cousins used to do that. I used to really admire them for doing it. I am always waiting for ways to get distracted, especially when I am studying!

Yes but it has to be classical or ambient. It helps drown out all of the surrounding noise. I have done it for years and I am a 4.0.
