Umm I would have to say Evanescence, Creed (too bad both those broke up) Nickleback, 3 Doors Down , a little godsmack a dash of Metallica, Red Hot chilly pepers and a twist of D12 a pinch of Lonestar and top it with a sprinkle of Garbage .

And as a little tidbit... Band means a group of people most the people you listed are artists or singers.. not bands *winks*

My favorite is the greatest, most important, most influential band of all-time, the one who saved rock music in the 1960s: The Beatles.

Edit (to the poster directly below me): But rock music already existed. It was invented by American artists in the 1950s, and became extremely popular in Europe in the 60s when it was losing popularity in America. The Beatles simply brought it back to the hearts and minds of Americans, not to mention that they had already released several classic albums by the time The White Album was released in 1968.

Oh, and I love The Ramones.

Pink Floyd, they're awesome!

"Shine on you crazy diamond..."

btw, why does everyone like all these crap bands, like eminem, 50 cent, kelly clarkson etc.??? they have NO talent, NONE. The Beatles really ARE probly the most influential rock band, and there ARE alot of other good bands. What happened to GOOD music? did it die or something?!?!

If you like those types of bands, check out Beck, Blondie, and the Beastie Boys!

EDIT: To the Beatles' poster above, I would say you're wrong and that it is the Beatles who CREATED rock musioc in the 1960's their eponymous LP (aka White ALbum) is what rock musci would be and still is today... Not to say there werten't other important bands, just they were possibly the most influential...

As to Saviours of Rock music...The Ramones, baby!
