You are correct. It is disgusting how the Players' Association has kidnapped baseball, preventing a hard salary cap and revenue sharing. Florida has a 14 million dollar total payroll - less than the left side of the Yankees' infield.
Why can't Al Queda do something socially responsible and target Donald Fehr?

The Yankees were too good in the 1950s. There was even a Broadway musical during that period, "Damn Yankees" (based on a book called "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant"). in which a man sells his soul to the devil so he can lead the Washington Senators (perennial last-place finishers) to the pennant, defeating the Yankees.
Then things got normal for awhile, until George Steinbrenner bought the team and started buying pennants.
It makes sense to hate baseball because of the Yankees, but it makes even more sense to hate the Yankees and support other teams.
I despise the Dodgers because of what Walter O'Malley did to Brooklyn fans, but I didn't hate baseball for that...instead I root for the Mets! (And, of course, the mighty Mariners.)

Yankees fans have no idea what the meaning of baseball is. In fact, Yankees fans don't know anything about baseball all together. I've spoken to numerious so called "Yankees fans", and I can assure you, they knew NOTHING about baseball. All they know is that George Steinbrenner is their god because he needs to spend almost $200 mill EVERY year to even have a chance. GO BRAVES!

funny this is the damn yankees haven`t won a world series since thy beat the Mets in 2000. thy actually slippin lately, wit all tht money, thy still can't win a world series lately which is prolly the best thing to happen to baseball, cuz i hate the yankees and thy must learn tht u can't buy a world series u gotta play ur a*s off and earn it.

Trust me I dislike the yankees too...but take comfort in knowing that they are finally getting what they deserve....NO world series rings for 100 years.

the yankees are by far the worst team in baseball. they're all about money!!!! a-rod, gary sheffield, randy johnson. shouldn't they be good?
