There's this guy that I had a crush on a couple years ago.. and I liked him for three years.. and finally I thought I got over him..

I saw him a week or so ago and all the feelings came back and I don't know what to do. We're not really friends anymore yet I still have something for him.

What do I do?

I know exactly how you are feeling, coz I have been through it myself. People say, moving on in life is the most likely and healthy step forward...but what do people know what love actually is? I have decided to keep this feeling for that special girl for long long time to come, perhaps till death. Most often I pray, that no one as special as this lady ever comes in to my life. I cannot imagine anyone in her place. Was thinking, if I am comfortable with the feeling for this girl in spite of the fact that she is never going to be mine in this life time, it does not matter what the world says. What matters is the emotion, the feeling, the meaning an experience holds in our lives. As long as a behaviour is not self destructive, there is noting wrong in it...just an opinion I believe in.

Certain memories and feelings can never be forgotten in a lifetime, and they are always haunting. I love thinking about her, even though she is not mine...I draw pleasure by remembering the moments I had with her. Its better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. If you are happy with the feeling, go with it. At one point, all life seemed pointless....but there is pleasure in pain.

It's called a crush--a strange attraction to someone you don't even know well that doesn't seem to go away. You have to learn to ignore these feelings, they don't do you any good. If you two go out later it will be because other feelings have started. In the mean time, do nothing. Let it pass.

Have you ever tried to find out if he feels anything for you in that direction? I would say, that if there is no indication at all, on any level, that he's aware of you that way, that it would be best for you to simply `move on' after all, you cannot have a one-way relationship with someone who is not in it with you.
Let it go, and move on.

Get on with your life. There are too many men out there to be crying over just one.

I've been there also. Being told to 'move on' or 'get on with your life' does not suffice. If you discover the true answer to this elusive question, please let me know.
