More than likely someone you did trust pissed down your back and told you it was raining. In other words, someone important,or you loved betrayed your trust. Possibly,probably more than once,so now you are afraid to trust. A very hard way to live but in this sadly screwed up world we live in today distrust seems to be the norm,even a major defense in survival.

Cause of most breakdowns. It's a big problem, especially since I think if you don't trust others then really you're saying you ultimately don't trust yourself to judge that wisely.

may be caused by fear. fear of the unknown, for example. i mean, if some1 doesn't trust u, that may be because he/she doesn't know u really well. but that's just maybe...
