Every baby is different. But typically, a baby says their first word between 9 and 18 months and their second one within a week or two after that. Usually the first two words are "mother" and "father" (in whatever form you use them).

they start saying mama long before they actually know what it is rather whom it is. it takes for the babies to understand ma ma or da da... like my girl says pa pa atleast 6-7 months... but its a joy and pride to hear them say ma ma to u :))

This varies on the baby and how much time is spent talking to the child and developing language. 9-15 months.

My daughter started to say it at about 4 months, but we believe that it was just sounds. It wasn't until she was close to a year old that it appeared that she put some context to the words...

Depends how fast the kids develop language skills this can vastly differ in children. With me its was 6 months with my brother it was 8 months. However his ability to walk exceeded mine.I would expect 10 months to be reasonable.

That depends. 8 or 9 months is probably about right if the kid's first word is mama. My second son's first word was "Mine!"
