Also, what is the machine for making buttons officially (correctly) called? Because when I try to search online stores, I'm stumped as to what it is called.

I am into crafts really big time. If nobody comes through with a used one you can always go to your local hobby and craft store. When I shop there I have seen many kinds at a variety if prices. Good luck, I hope you find one soon.

The one I've always seen is called Badge-A-Minit. Their website can sell the machines plus all the badge parts.
