When I was small it was the usual things, Freddie, Jason, The House, etc. As I got older, I found it harder and harder to be legitimately scared. The last movie to do that was Event Horizon, and that was a long time ago. Al these so called scary movies out now are weak. They don't make you think. In the Mouth of Madness is another good horror movie.

The scariest movies really are those that are based on the possibility of what could actually happen to one or all of us.
'1984' was creepy and coming true by the day.
'On The Beach' was about the last survivors after WW III. Sad and scary.
'The Pelican Brief' You weren't scared? Then either you are a fool or you're not interested in what's happening to your life and those around you. You better start getting scared.

Growing up I use to think that the scariest movie was that one with the Werewolf, Dracula and Frankenstien. But after my first time seeing the origional "Exorsist", I am convenced that I haven't seen a scarier movie than The Exorsist .

The first "Friday the 13th" now of course my list could go on, these are the classics and when i was a kid they scared the pants off me...I am such a horror fanatic today because of my exsposure as a child and nothing they make these days compare to the classics of the 80's....except for Saw and Saw2 it was the closest thing for me.

**The Shining by Stephen King - isolated hotel where there had been a masacre and when a family moves to look after the place, weird things start to happen...they were possessed and all that... you better check it out!
**The Others - they thought they were still alive when infact they were the dead ones!
