john j: you're not too fond of me? do you think I care? at least I'm not taking personal shots at people. I'm just trying to get comments on a random question.
I mean, I'm just very sad and lonely all the time, and my life is completely messed up, and I came up with this question, because I kind of envy people who have their lives together so early in life that they can make a choice like getting married so early.

Being that I'm 25 and have been married for almost 2 years, nope. Why would you hate people whose marriage has nothing to do with you anyway? Don't get me wrong, loads of people rush into marriage only to find out that it's not what they expected. But still, what does that have to do with you?
**Aha, more info RIGHT after I post. Go figure. :P It's easy for someone who's happily married to tell you not to worry & to be patient. Don't worry. Be patient. Lots of people don't find "the one" til they're older in life, and lots of them end up having uber wonderful marriages (my aunt comes to mind). I get the envy, but the hate's not going to help you any. You'll just end up alone AND bitter.

Minkus, I am sorry your envy is making you lonely and sad. In case you didn't notice most of the questions and answers in this section indicate how much work and compromise even good marriages are. Not everyone who gets married in their 20s have their lives together, but work at marriage to make it good. I also know several people getting divorced while in their 20s. You have to find a way to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with anyone else. "The best things in life are worth waiting for." "You are only as old as you feel."

I think that's a dumb question. Why HATE anyone period. What difference does it make if they are in their 20's or 50's? I married at 17. Now THAT was dumb.

I hate people who think they have to find someone to marry at a certain age, or avoid marriage cause it is too early in their plan. If it is a healthy relationship and both people are firmly situated in their lives, as well as know themselves; than marrying in your twenties is fine.

Nope. My hubby and I met when we were ten years old. We were married when we were both 20. We've been married for seven years, have three children, own our home, finished post secondary education, and are really enjoying life. What could be better!
