The sky is blue because all other colors of the spectrum are being absorbed by the sky except the blue wave length.

The sky is blue for the same reason anything else is any color. Materials absorb different wavelengths of light energy and reflect the colors which represent their color. The sky is blue because the molecular composition of the sky absorbs all other colors and allows blue to reflect.

"A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight."

It's because of the light bouncing off earth and absorbing into the atomsphere. This gives the sky a blue color, when it should be black (the color in space)

The sky is blue because of Rayleigh scattering.

because the sun omits white light and white light has every color on the spectrum but blue is absorbed the least by the atmosphere

because the ions in the air take in light and transfer it into its own wavelength of color just like a prism or a raindrop create a rainbow. it just so happens that the wavelength of the molecules in our atmosphere equal a bluish glow from the angle that we see them during the day.

why don't you ask something more relevant. heres an ideo. why is crap brown? that is more inteligent that your question. unless you are like a little kid or something.
