The instruments that are used may scrape the inside of your vagina causing this bleeding. It happened to me after my first one. If your concerned maybe you should go back to your gynaecologist?

I know that a little blood is common but a lot I don't know that doesn't sound right to me. I would contact the doc tomorrow if you are still bleeding hard or even just a little. Something may have ripped or torn while the doc was doing the exam that caused bleeding.

Bleeding can occur just after a pap smear due to the scraping of the cervix. However, it shouldn't last for more than a few hours after the pap smear was done.

Are you a virgin? If you are then it might have been that. Other than that, I have never personally bled after a pap, but I have bled after a biopsy. If your Doc was not really concerned, than I wouldn't worry about it unless it continues. You might have started your period before your time.

They scrape your walls when they do a pap so yes that can happen and it's painful, take a Excedrin just like you would on your period. But you are still okay. Some days it's sucks to be female.

if you are worried get checked out for a miscarriage just to be on the safe side. If you did have a miscarriage it can cause an infection in the uterus if not cleaned out by doctor

Did your gyno take a piece from your uterus for a culture test maybe? That's what they do when you have a virus or something, they take a tinny piece from your uterus to sen it to the lab for testing. (Culture Biopsy). If she did, you are meant to bleed honey. It's ok.

It is common. Anytime you are scraped with an instrument on the inside of your body it can cause bleeding.

If this problem persists for 7 days...you need to call the doctor's office and tell them.
