It is possible to copy songs and pictures to a CD-R, but movies require a DVD recorder.

Chances are your PC came with the software pre-loaded.

If your songs are in an analog format (cassettes, LPs) you will have to use an analog/digital converter between the Stereo Deck/Turntable outputs & the A/D converter inputs.

There are software A/D Converters and outboard ones.

Pictures (photos) must must be digitized (scanned). Scanners vary in price but will come w/ softare to put the photos on the HD and thrn to CD.

Yes. It's called "burning": a term used to describe the process of having your PC put on a CD music, written files and/or digital photographs--all currently stored on your PCs hard drive.

Out of the box, newly purchased: your PC should have the Windows or other installed "burning" programs to do this. Just takes a little trial and error doing.

If you own a digital camera, you might want to read up on how to transfer images stored in it to your PC. It's pretty cool how that's done....and you'll be amazed how fast it can be done, too.

You'll also need to get either blank CD-R or CD-R/W discs....found in major retail or electronics stores. From there: you can start burning stuff on them.

Oh.....almost forgot: be sure you don't exceed the maximum megabytes of storage allowed on each CD; something explained on the blank CD-R or CD-R/W package.

And yes: there ARE printers that can print photos from pictures stored on your PC or images "burned" on CD. In fact, most PC packages purchased come with such.

you have to make sure your computer has either a cd burner or dvd burner installed with the burning software like Nero or Roxio.
Then you will need to buy some blank cd-s or dvd's then open up the burning program and away you go! Nero has a wizard which can step you through the process
