After Jay and Silent Bob and Jersey Girl can Kevin Smith recapture the magic that he lost?

I hope so...he's taking a big chance creating a sequel to Clerks.

I know Clerks II/Kevin Smith received like an 8 minute standing ovation at Cannes & the previews are really good. Honestly, with all the crap movies that have been coming out, it would be hard not to be giddy over this! It will be Kevin Smith fans that make or break this movie, so I'm sure he did his best to make his fans happy. I'm going to a screening of Clerks II on Thursday and Kevin Smith is doing a Q & A afterwards. I am super excited about it. I'd be really bummed if after all the hype I was let down. I just don't think Kevin would have jeapordized Clerks cult following unless he felt he could do something that would entertain those followers rather than betray them. I guess in a matter of days/weeks, we'll know for sure!

I wasn't disappointed. I liked Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Jersey Girl was OK. I believe this movie will kick a$$! I have been waiting for it since I read Kevin Smith hinting about it in the Clerks X DVD pamphlet! July 21, 2006 I will be in the theaters!!!!!

I know Jersey Girl is dreadful the first time you watch it but watch it again, and as you are no longer expecting a kevin smith film you can actually see the greatness of it. Jay and Silent bob was not as moving-plot driven-blah blah, but it was funny and it was designed to tie up the loose ends expecailly the end to mallrats. it was still very funny. Clerks 2 will dissapoint lots of the fan i am sure but that is because they expect kevin smith to make the smae movie over and over, I am sure it will be good may not top Clerks witht eh orginal ending but i am sure i will love it to bit, EVERYBODY just give it a chance, you never know.

Hey you forgot to include Chasing Amy. But, I think that is a question only the lord has an answer to at the moment. I hope so, or that we can find Kevin Smith's replacement. That would be great.

I saw no dissapointment in JSBSB or Jersey Girl. Jersey Girl isn't really part of "the trilogy", so its hard to put in the same catagory. But I think Clerks 2 is gonna be one of the funnist flicks of the year.

I hope so. So far, I've only really been at all impressed with two of his offerings (Clerks and Chasing Amy).
