there has really been no change in the spirit of music lately. This may be because there are so many things in the world that have been put on hold. New music through history had been shown to change with the times. Many people are still stuck in hip hop and country and rock, even techno stuff has been coming back into some beats. There have been a few changes with the integration of these types of music. There is nothing wrong with any of these music types. But there is nothing truly original that has evolved recently. Music evolves and shows the evolution of the people of the world. More than likley, when there is something major that goes on in the world that changes it, there will be an emergence of a new type or evolved music.

depends on what you consider to be original music, but it's because most music these days is based or taken in some way from the classical eras. Honestly, I think there's plenty of original music out there, you just gotta look in the right genre. But nothing's really original unless you break more of the rules of music LOL that's why beethoven and all of those guys were so famous, because they broke the rules of their time

Says who? Tomorrow a new instrument may be created. Or perhaps an old one may be rediscovered. Somewhere out there is a gifted child that will come up with original music.

Because everything is a money venture and capitalists like to stick with proven ideas etc. Even if the individual artists are creative they are usually resticted by the big corporations that market them.
