Using a condom every time you have sex is the best way to stay disease free. It's also important to get tested often so that if you do get something, you can take care of it right away. It's also a good idea to ask your partners when their last AIDS test was.

Mikey, the one who said, "if you stay gay" is an idiot, please disregard his complete ignorance. your gay, dont change that, be proud of it. As far as being sexually active and disease free, use condoms, and ask the person you are with to be honest with you about there disease status. Just something you might like to know, the highest rate of HIV is NOT amongest gay men anymore, thats sooo 80's and 90's, it is now amongs striaght black males. So all the straight people in this world that think they are safe from aids because they are so called, "normal" are dead wrong. Safe sex. Thats all you need.

You have to make sure to protect yourself EVERY time you have sex.

"Selectively dating" will not accomplish your goal of being STD-free. Do not believe what any sex partner tells you, no matter who they are or how much or little they have "dated around." Value your life enough to make sure you are protected EVERY time when having sex.

If you are planning a relationship with someone, and then want to consider having barrier-free sex, you both need to get tested for STDs. If you're both negative after two tests, go ahead. But this also means that neither one of you can have sex outside the relationship unless you are protected EVERY time.

Condoms are your number one protection...don't let anyone go barebacking you and do not do it yourself...you have many years ahead of you...STD free and proud, for many years to come

It helps to be monogamous or to date a person for awhile before engaging in sex. Also, always wear a condom. be safe, dear.

Condoms are your friend - use 'em first time, every time. Avoid guys who are into crystal and barebacking - they're bad news.
