..."it's not love, but it's not bad." (Merle)

Do people that married, and then got divorced, from their true love agree with this quote in regards to their second spouse/long-term relationship/whatever?

Is this just a guy thing?
Is it a defense mechanism?
Do ladies feel the same way?

I think this is common in both sexes, but is not the rule. It can be many things and a defense mechanism sounds highly logical. However, you deserve for it to be good or even great and not just "not bad." Whatever makes you happy and keeps you in your secure comfort level.

The reality is, What one sees as "true love" may not be so for the other. There is more than one love for everyone. Almost everyone who has gone through heartbreak, Soon finds someone else, And realizes that it was all for the best.

I love my husband very much... unfortunately he has to put up with alot of scars that my x husband left.. The way i feel about my x husband is as if he was dead, i love who he once was, but not who he's become, the person i once loved is dead to me.. I love my husband now for all the right reasons, i loved my x husband for all the wrong reasons.. big difference..
