Can I please give you some advice? DON'T GET MARRIED RIGHT AWAY! I know it seems like you should, but it would be better if you spent a long engagemtn living together - at least two years. If you're religious and living together is a problem, then don't. But PLEASE don't get married that young. You need to find yourself first.

If u r from India, although it is not necessary to change uar last name after marriage yet if it is necessary, in any way u can publish it in two newpapers by submitting an affadavit to news agency. Or if you have not passed high school i.e. matric u can change it at school level simply by giving an application to school authorities

Don't change your name. Hyphenate it .I got married after high school and I wish I had kept my name. When you get married your life is going to change a lot and when it's over at least you'll still have your name.

You should be sure that you want to take on his name. If you dont mind either way, you could always use both last names. (example. smith-jones etc) You probably will have to change your name with your school, though it wont be a major problem. It will just be a minor change on the computer.
good luck with your marriage!!

Its actually up to you. Your name doesnt change until you go to the social security office and fill out an app. You can keep yours and add his at the end if you wanted(before going), it's legal. The main thing the gov't is concerned about is your tax forms

I suggest you stay single for awhile. At least until you have acquired enough maturity to know about such things.
