Only if there is resistance or friction, or gravity, or not. Frequency or vibration can be perceived as color, light, music, heat, or other things that we can't readily sense. It is exciting to translate them by changing the manner of perception.

Yes. For example, there are some materials that are considered optically dense. If you look at light as an electro-magnetic wave, then as it passes through this substance it can do things like slow down (remember, c is only constant in a vacuum). This, the "vibration" from this wave does change. This can happen for amplitude, frequency and wavelength too, for any wave. Each medium is unique.

Of course, Just listen to an instrument going from the vibrations into your ear. Your ear also vibrates which is still in the category of a vibration medium, but then other mediums pick up that vibration in your brain and there is no "vibration" wave but electrical wave letting your brain decipher the first vibration medium.

vibrations are the combination of frequency and wave lenght. frequency is constant on change of medium. wavelenght of vibrations increases or decreases on changing the medium. wavelength is inversely propotional to refractive index of the medium(assuming vibrations propogate through air or vaccum to another medium). wavelength in medium=(wavelength in vaccum)/refractive index.

yes think of it this way. u sound different when you hear yourself on a playback or recording right. thats because they way you hear yourself is through the bones in your ear meaning less travel as for the readio you voice changes due to the density of air which is not as dense at the bones in your ears but other people hearing you talk and listening to the radio tell you thats how u sound for them the voice or wavelength has to go through a less dense of material and it is constant to them
