From my experience Earthlink is good I had no problem wit them so far. AOL is okay put we had to many problem with them especially when we did not want there services anymore. They took money out our account. I have nothing against foreigner, but it was heard to talk with they. That my opinion.

Sorry, I don't get see how America Online and Earthlink effect you when your buying a laptop unless this is some kind of rebate. But either way I have Earthlink and it works just fine.

Actually, if you get a laptop with built-in Ethernet, you just need to take it to a nearby coffee shop / hotel. Most offer free wireless Internet access.

That said, if you have no Internet experience, you might prefer AOL's idiot-proof interface. But, if you don't want all the access problems that prevent AOL users from being able to do many things on the Internet, such as using alternative chat clients, go with Earthlink.

Neither. Get a wireless router. You will be amazed at how quick and easy it is.
