Well I'm smoke free for 22 days now. I am using the nicadurm patch and welbutrin...You have to get that from your doctor. This by far is the easiest its ever been for me. I have tried stopping many times before but never made it this far.

Acupuncture or hypnosis. Check out all the different quit smoking websites... there is plenty of help out there, you simply need to make an effort. The hardest part is breaking the physical addiction, since you've been smoking so long it will probably take about a month.

I smoked for 10 years then quit. cold turkey, I decided that It could not be as hard as I was making it out to be and convinced myself the hardest part was the hype about it being so difficult. Its mind over matter. Also anytime I had a really bad craving I would read horror stories on the net about cancer. Take it one craving at a time. They only last so long.

I actually just quit.... cold turkey. I decided one day that I REALLY wanted to quit smoking, so I set a quit date. That day came around and I still had half a pack, but I threw it away. I haven't had a puff since. (that was 17 days ago).. so far so good. It's all mind over matter... I found that drinking coffee made me crave a cigarette to much, so I cut that out too. I just do things to distract me, when I feel like getting a craving. You just need LOTS of will power. GOOD LUCK :) (I hope I never start...) I tell you once you quit though... everyday you don't smoke, it gets easier...

You didn't develop your habit overnight, and you probably won't get out of it that quickly either. Patches and gums aren't scams...they're meant to help you ease out of the habit. Regardless, you need to remember that you: 1)are capable of winning, 2)might not be able to do it alone...don't be afraid to ask people in your life for support. They say habits are largely broken in about three weeks time. Make that your short term goal.

Yes there is. I have a friend who's a chain-smoker. He became a Christian and had no pain, or difficulty in stopping his vice with smoking. He said, all he did was pray and surrendered everything to Him. If it happened to him, it might happen to you too.

You might wanna talk to your doctor to see what the best thing to do is. You could always try those nicotine patches or gum, or theres always quitting cold turkey!
