We are traveling to Selangor on our honeymoon. We need to find a hotel to stay for 1 week in Kuala lumpur. We will be arriving from Bangkok and then flying next day to Selangor a week after.
Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in Kuala lumpur, perhaps close to the airport, maybe with a swimming pool? Thanks in advance.

There are a few good hotels in selangor mainly, Sunway Lagoon resort hotel (this is a resort hotel in the city it has its own man made beach I believe... and shopping centres around).
Others include 2. Sheraton, Subang Jaya
3. Hyatt Saujan Subang Jaya (this hotel is near the old ariport and is quiet secluded)
4. Concorde Hotel Shah Alam,
5. Grand Bluwave Hotel Shah Alam
6. Holiday Villa , Subang Jaya
7. Cyberview Lodge (nice for honeymoon if you intend to be secluded from the rest of the world)
You could also choose to stay in KL just outside of selangor. You can stay at
1. Le Meridien KL (you can take the KLIA transit from the airport to this hotel it will cost about RM 30/35 per person.
2. KL Hilton (similar as (1))
3. Dorsett Regency (located at shopping districts)
4. JW MArriot (located at shopping districts)
5. Traders Hotel
6. Mandarin Oriental (the most expensive)
More affordable hotels include
7. darby Park
8. Chorus Hotel
All the hotels have a swimming pool.
Hotels in Malaysia are cheaper comparatively to the rest of the world and usually range between RM100-300 a night.

I suggest you stay around Bukit Bintang area, Kuala Lumpur. All the 5-stars, 4 -stars, 3 stars hotel are there. All in walking distant and a lot of nice/trendy cafes /restaurant. If you tired, unwind a while in your hotel's pool and fitness center. A lot to choose from Italian food to locals, from Lebanese to French.
I suggest JW Marriot or ParkRoyal Hotel..value for money!Book Through internet rate. Cheaper

Dont stay near airport, nothing to do there. It is 72 km from the city. Take fast train/airport limo Rm $ 60

i m visit Malaysia too next month, i m going to stay in Renaissance Hotel it is located in the Golden triangle and has a view on the twin towers(10 min walk)
the location is very good because you can see a lot of things nearby, like the new Aquaria (biggest aquarium in Asia).
it is 45 min ride from the airport.
it is a five stars hotel, i read a lot of reviews, everybody is recommending it.
i m bocking it for 50$ the first night, and then 30$ each additional night,which i think is good for a 5 stars hotel, offering such services.
you can also be interested in Istana Hotel (5 stars).

Its the Best Island Ever..
and there is A hotel in Pangkur Called laut...
its cheap and really nice...
U can Have Ur own Swimming pool...

i would recommend you to stay at Pan Pacific KLIA.... it's really close to the airport.... and of course the hotel provide the swmming pool.... Enjoy your stay in Malaysia... Have a nice day

le meridien. it's expensive but worth it. they have swimming pool, annick goutal boutique, middle-eastern restaurant.
it's close 2 kl sentral. u can go to airport from kl sentral.
