.....does heal and makes people forget bitter experiences? I somehow prefer a broken heart than actually moving on in life, is there something wrong with my thought process?

i loved this girl and i still do, i love her so much in spite of the fact that she never loved me (been some 4 odd years). after knowing that she does not feel the way i feel, i was left heart broken...and everywhere i see, i see her only. seems like there is pleasure in heart burn and pain. if only, she were mine :(

The day will come when you`ll discover that what you felt for her is gone. You love her so much that you`ll eventually stop loving her... I know it`s weird but it happened to me!
I loved a guy for about 6 years. I was apart from him for the last 3 or so but I continued to call (he never did of course). Then, one night I went to this concert and while I was there, he walked into the room... As I saw him I realised I felt nothing for him. My feelings had simply gone away.
Your thought process isn`t wrong - don`t run away from hurt... sink yourself in it, roll over it... And when you`re done (cause you will stop hurting), choose another path, follow it through and never look back again...

Good Luck

I don't think it's so much a thought process as a heart process.

Grief can become as addictive as any other emotion. At first it feels like Alice, tumbling ceaselessly down the rabbit hole... but eventually we hit bottom and eventually go in a different direction.

Time, on the other hand, does not make us forget, but it can help us to heal and to deal. We never forget completely, although we can be spared the grief for moments, then minutes, then hours, and, with luck, days at a time.

Good grief guy. Get over it! Women are like a bus...you miss one and another comes along in a little bit. Time won't heal a wound if it's left open to fester. You asked if I think something is wrong with you...damn sure do!!!

Time helps people to forget, usually something they would like to move past. If there is something you want to hang onto, then surround yourself with memories of it. It will help to preserve the essence.

And no, there is nothing wrong. It is your choice as what to do. Some say it isn't healthly not to move on.

i wouldn't say wrong but it's not something i would prefer, sometimes people react differently in this kind of situations, i do know and believe that it is better to find love even if you heart is broken than to never know what love is

Time will mend all-if one allows it.Not all will be forgotten...but can be forgiven-to ease the pain...
There isn't anything wrong with your thought process...that is what you feel comfortable with-embrace the pain and it will go away naturally and never hurt again!

Isn't breaking your heart moving you on in life, and to go on in life, don't you have to break your heart? And it might be true that time does not do anything to anything at all, people made up time.

You seem to hold grudges. You must be the sort of person who isn't happy unless you're not happy. My sister is like that.
