It really depends on how zealous the person that won the judgement is. If they do not receive their judgment, they can take it back to court and the judge could order a seizing of your assets. And of course the remainder of what you owe will be a debt until you pay it off.

The amounts and types of property that you can protect from enforcement of a judgment will vary from state to state. Whether or not the creditor can come after you will depend on the value of the card, the cost of the sale and how much you owe. The local court clerk's office might be able to provide you with a list of exempt property.

If you own the car outright, with no liens, it will probably qualify as exempt property, which is designed to give the debtor a chance to go to work, etc. Each state has its own rules for exempt property. You can likely find what is exempt by looking in the code of civil procedure under "Judgments". If your county has a legal aid office, they should be able to tell you.

Yes they can but usually the will let you pay out of pocket. If you become delinquent in the matter at hand they can seize your property end even throw you in jail, thats called being in contempt of court im not sure if its a class A misdemeanor or class B. It also depends on the verdict.

It depends on the state. Also filing for bankruptcy can wipe out the debt from the judgement depending on the type of judgement.
