i doubt he'll be punished, but seriously he needs to stop being such a little girl and actually play this wonderful game known as soccer. he acts way too much, whether it be begging for calls or diving as soon as he looses the ball. i think getting boos everytime he touched the ball during the portugal-france game was all the punishment he'll get. hopefully he learn that his speed, acting, and fancy, but unnecesary, footwork isn't enough to make him a great player.

I wouldn't call what Ronaldo did as tactical. I'd say it was more like tactless. The punishment he will receive will be his loss of credibility among a lot of soccer fans and players. You can't forget how many times he tried to dive and fake and whine without becoming a little annoyed with him. I think he's lost a lot of respect by not only being a snakey player but also by not really performing the way everyone thought he would. Huge disappointment.

This is football, and Cristiano and Rooney were not team mates during the game. They were each playing for their own country. I've seen this done many times, the British just get bent out of shape for nothing

First of all that was not an attempt to get him thrown out, by going to the scene and simply saying "What are you doing?"
Secondly if it was tactical that is just pure brilliant. Because football is not just a game for athletes it is for intelligent ones. And it is just as much a mental game.

did you mean Cristiano Ronaldo?
No, I don't agree. I think he rocks...and nothing would've be more right than rooney receiving a red card. He most certainly deserved it. He his a hard working player and a good one...but he is to violent and that sucks.

No.. you only get punished for losing your temper and pushing other players, not for talking to the ref for <5 seconds about a foul.
