Do you want to stay near SeaWorld? Are you adventuring more toward something near the riverwalk? There's both a RedRoof Inn and a Super 8 pretty inexpensive near SeaWorld, but I would stay near the River Walk. Stay at the Marriott downtown. Or at the LaMansiondelNorte. Have fun.

Go to hotwire and pick a hotel that is in that area. The hyatt hill country is awesome but expensive. There are others though. Tickets bought at HEB supermarket are a better deal than most.
