I think he has made it worse, but then its not just him, it's the government too. The government tends to ignore America's problems, but will always butt in on other countrie's problems.

Yes. Unless someone has been living under a rock for the past six years or so I think most people, even the ultrapatriotic, can say that at least one aspect is down the hole.

Sadly, the responses to this were about what I was expecting. A huge number of people are buying the BS they are being fed without any consideration of the logic. Honestly, George Bush hasn't been doing a bad job for someone as incompetent as the media portrays him to be. Given what is happening in the world, George Bush as a person, or a president , really hasn't done very much to harm the country. His major programs have been largely positive, even if he does waste time on silly propaganda like the "marriage amendment". The media has done far more to harm this country by misrepresenting a lot of what is going on. There may be some hateful people in this country, but it seems the majority are expressing this by hating themselves and the country. If more people would wake up and apply a little logic to what they are being told, the media might be held more accountable for the abysmal job they are doing. Instead, the 'bread and circuses' of 'reality TV' appear to be doing a great job of keeping the masses distracted and happy. Eventually they'll succeed in electing a REAL Nero who will fiddle while the country burns around us. And he will no doubt be a darling of the mass media, instead of the present hapless scapegoat.

Personally, I think George W. Bush hasn't done any worse than what previous presidents have done. You gotta remember all the lies and things started with LBJ and the Kennedy assassination. After that, the country has gone downhill. Personally, I don't even know why we have a president in the first place when the corporations are the ones that run this country and the *** kissin politicians allow all this crap to happen. The President is the fall guy. That's the facts, America.

Regardless of political perspective, I would have to say I feel worse about where America is today than I did 6 years ago.

What little domestic policy he has worked on has been heavy with language but light on action. His administration likes to dream up important sounding bureaus or acts like Department of Homeland Security and No Child Left Behind without considering what is needed to effectively implement the required policies. Unfortunately, they are ideas with (hopefully) good intentions but terrible foresight and follow-through. The gap between the lower and upper class continues to grow, and it still leans toward the lower class. This is something that I truly believe his administration's policies have harmed. Their tax programs are a joke and instead of reforming tax codes to stop businesses from loophole deductions, which would really make-up for a huge amount of revenue, they just lower taxes for everyone while running up huge bills.

His terrible foreign policy goes beyond the war in Iraq. Yes, that was an awful idea, but it is focused on far too much. Now that North Korea is testing weapons again, they have come back into the spotlight but they were already manufacturing weapons when we invaded Iraq because we thought they had the desire to make nukes. But it is his "our way or the highway" mentality with other countries that makes me the most ashamed. Say what you will about how other nations view Americans, in the last 100 years we have not had a leader as disrespected in international relations as George W. Bush. My hope is that other leaders will not hold his mistakes against our next president, rather understand that they will just be taking the helm. And I hope that whomever does get elected in 2008 will rework foreign policy to cooperate with other nations. World leaders are chosen because they, too, are intelligent. Their opinions are worth listening to. The UN is a wonderful idea but it is only as strong as its members will allow it to be. If the US pursues unilateral foreign policy, we are hurting not only ourselves, but a world body.

Finally, a few people mentioned 9/11. I don't think talking us through a crisis he could have prevented counts as remarkable. Read the commission report on how many warnings Bush's cabinet received in the months leading up to the attack. Figure out that he took more vacation in his first year than Clinton did in 8 years. If he slept on the job and allowed something as awful as 9/11 to happen, the least he can do is stand by as the nation picks itself back up. Any man or woman could have, and would have, done what he did. Tell me, besides "orange alerts" and a service in New York, what *did* Bush do that was so amazing in the wake of 9/11? Abandoning a war in Afgahnistan doesn't count.

After much thought, I was able to find TWO Positive things that he has done.

The first has been quite by accident: He has managed to make fuel so expensive, that people can not afford to burn it as readily as they did before. And since burning this stuff contributes to green house gas he has helped reduce the production of it.

This has also stimulated the production of some more fuel efficient cars by car makers: nothing like the electric car that he helped kill by raising federal emission standards so he gets no credit here.

The other positive thing he has done was to make some of the islands, off of Hawaii, wild life sanctuaries. Those animals need all the help they can get.

I think the worst thing he has done, was to make so many other countries afraid that he will invade them, if they are not loaded with nukes: especially those countries with oil, like Iran and Venezuela. Personally, if I had some "black gold" in my back yard, I would not trust him near it: at least not without a dozen war heads pointed at him.

I believe Bush is doing a fair job at cleaning up the mess that Clinton left for him. The North Korean thing could have been settled during Clinton's time in office but instead of taking Korea's leader to the outhouse for an *** kicking Clinton gave him a pat on the back and said be a good boy.
Now the liberals are trying again to pay off Korea instead of flatly telling them to get rid of the missiles or we will. Period. Naturally the UN is worthless as China and Russia enjoy having us squirm over North Korea and Iran. It is time for Us to stick it to the UN and China and Russia where foreign aid is concerned and where throwing money at the UN is concerned.

George Bush has made this worse for our country from day one. His "cowboy, go it alone" mentality has cost the WORLD greatly in the past 6 years. His head is in the sand with regards to environmental issues, his head is up his *** when it comes to foreign relations. He's calling for restraint now from Israel and Lebanon when he has no problem NOT using it himself. I really can't believe he hasn't been impeached for all of his wrong doings.

He has also brought us back to the dark days of the Civil Rights Movement with his issues on gay marriage. The United States of America deserves better...........the world deserves better.

I know way too many people from other countries...and I have to say the answer is no. This is because Americans have been hated for decades - it doesn't matter if its Bush or whoever. They hate us regardless. Think of the thousands of people that died on 9/11 - this happen before the Iraq debacle.

Of course he is, and for those of you who think that he did a great job reacting to 9/11 i say : What did he exactly do?
He went after osama bin laden, he destroyed all of Afghanistan and osama is still at large, showing us his lovely annual video tapes!! then he went after Saddam in Iraq who had nothing to do with 9/11, Saddam was a menace for his own people, then G.W goes in Iraq and makes matters even worse, with American soldiers and Iraqi people dying every day in huge numbers, and George doesn't care cause he is getting all the oil money, so the hell with everyone else, right?? ask yourself where is all the oil money from Iraq going? neither Iraq nor the USA is benefiting from it, Iraq is getting worse by the minute in every aspect, and the States' economy is going down day by day!! so where the hell is all the money?????

He is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country. I don't know who thought a man who could not even speak english correctly or can't run an oil business without it failing could run the biggest country in the world.
