That is probably not oil. Soot mixes with water and makes black drips. The engine is probably running too "rich" on fuel and may need a tuneup.

It means youve got bad seals and or rings in your car, somehow oil is getting into the combustion chamber (its not supposed to be there) and since its coming out the exhaust id say its a pretty bad problem.....probly pricy to fix

It means the seals in your valves are very very worn. Your burning oil. It's expensive to repair. If it's a nice car, they'll have to remove the heads and replace the valve seals, seats, and recut your valves. It's not an easy repair.

its not your rings that other guys a idiot, asuming you didnt overfill it with oil , your valve guides could be leaking when the eng is off and running, pull some spark plugs there shouldent be any oil on the tips

i have nvr seen oil actually come out of a tail pipe

feel it or smell it if it oil it mean your piston rings no good . if it feel or smell like water or dry up fast that normal .
