any one have any remedy to induce labor?

have sex - it works. try it. if the baby is late, alot of women will have sex and this induces labour.

Ask your doctor to strip the membranes (mucous plug). DO NOT TRY CASTOR OIL!! It will just make you miserable. Walking for hours (3-5) can do the trick sometimes. Having sex every day will soften your cervix but I would say that takes a week to work. Having an orgasm starts contractions. Nipple stimulation can work as long as it feels good.Using a breast pump for 10 minutes will start labor sometimes but no longer than that or it could cause contractions too strong that could hurt the baby. I have had 5 babies and tried all the tricks. If your baby has dropped then trying these will go well, if the baby has not dropped then it will be more difficult. Accupressure on the foot doesn't work--it will just put you into false labor. Enemas don't work either.

They sex helps, but only if the woman has an orgasm. It's the orgasms rythmic contraction of the uterus that helps bring on real labor.

Don't do that if it's too early though.

Make sure she's about 39 or 40 weeks along.

You don't want a baby who has to spend a few weeks in intensive care inside of an incubator.

My OB doctor also told me that playing with the nipples could help too.

Make sure you ask the doctor if it's ok to try to induce yourself.

I was in my ninth month and very miserable..I was told to walk as much as I could..I went for my check up on a Wednesday. I had not dilated at all. I went back home and walked about 2 miles..The next day I began to leak a small bit of water..I called my doctor and he said come to his office for a exam..When I got there I had dilated 4 cms and was admitted. My labor was induced and I gave birth 9 hours later.

Why?
How far along are you/is she?
Do you know that even 37 wk gestation babies can end up in Neonatal ICU because their lungs aren't mature enough to make it unassisted (oxygen mask to ventilator) sometimes?
Believe me, I know - It's hot, your ankles swell, you can be miserable, you're tired of not fitting into clothes, let alone shoes. Your back hurts, you pee when you sneeze or laugh, you can't bend over to tie your shoes - heck, you can't SEE your shoes.
Been there - worked full time as a staff nurse in a hospital until I delivered (without an epidural) at 42 weeks gestation! 22 years ago today.
As long as moms' health isn't at risk, and the baby is being monitored closely (Mom is seeing her doctor at least once a week) leave the baby where it is. It's safer in there.

Sex and nipple stimulation increase hormone levels in Mommy. The increase in hormones can get labor started. Walking and other exercise can help too, but remember not to overdo it because you will need to be rested in order to get through it!

Skip castor oil and other similar things - if your baby poops before it is born, it can ingest the poop with amniotic fluid and wind up with some major complications. It isn't worth the risks.

I've had eight babies, and tryed all the quick labor ideas heard of, none of them worked for me.
However walking is great, and it reduces the pain tremendously, as well as helping keep you fit.

Some of my girlfriends said Castor oil, but that can be dangerous. Most of them said sex, and raspberry tea. One friend said acupuncture put her into labor. Good luck!!!
