try www.Codeproject.com, www.gotdotnet.com, www.ondotnet.com these site have plenty of projects which you can download and study to get firsthand experience of .net. Yes MSDN is very good source to start with and then there is nothing like a good book. I will recommend Sams teach yourself series. first read books in this series and then go for Sams unleashed books.

go into your library look up what you want to learn. also try out your dictionary if you don't understand the word. knowledge is awesome. I'm proud of you sir? if you need a start from scratch you can buy a course like www.learnvisualstudio.net or www.appdev.com
the other links are good also for reference purposes but the easiest and fastest way to learn are video tutorials
