whats more 1/3 oz or 1/2 oz? im terrible with fractions so please help!?

1/2. A good thing to do in this case is to multiply the top and bottom of each fraction by a number to get the same bottom for both fractions. You can take any fraction and multiply the top and bottom by the same number and still have the same fraction. For example, with the fraction 5/9, you can multiply it by 4/4 (which is really the number one, since four goes into four one time) to get 5/9 x 4/4 = 20/36. 20/36 = 5/9. So for your fractions, multiply 1/3 by 2/2 to get a six in the bottom with the resulting fraction 2/6. Then take your second fraction 1/2 and multiply it by 3/3 to get 3/6.
