What I remember from birth control is that you should wait one month before unprotected sex in order to prevent pregnancy.
Please make sure that your boyfriend is disease free before you take this next step. You do not want to regret it later.
Although it feels good, there are still chances of pregnancy if he comes inside you:
* If you forget your pills for any number of days, you can increase your chances of pregnancy, and you may bleed (just your body thinking it is time for your period) if you are off of them for enough time.
* Many women have gotten pregnant while on birth control of all kinds, in which cases it must have been meant to be.
When you are ready to become pregnant, no matter how long you were on birth control, it may take a while to conceive. (It took about a year and a half for me.)
So if you are sure you do not want to get pregnant right now, I would wait at least two more weeks to be sure, and even then, it is still a risk.
Good Luck!

General rule of thumb is 2 weeks after you've been on birth control. However, remember that the only way to be 100% safe against pregnancy is abstinence so there is still a chance, no matter how long you've been on BCP, that you can get pregnant. There are many people in the world that got pregnant while on BC. Just to let you know.

If you have taken each pill about the same time every day, you should be fine. This is why: Birth control pills come in four-week packs. The first three weeks are the hormones that control birth, and the last week is a sugar pill, just to remind you to keep taking your pills every day. The recommendation is that you be on the pills for a month before your partner ejaculates inside you. Since you have taken all of the hormone pills for the month (IF in fact you have taken all of the pills for the first three weeks), you are covered. ... I am 37 and female, by the way.

By now the hormones would be in effect, if you still have questions about it call your doctor. You should also be using a condom, sometimes birth control doesn't work, in some cases it has resulted in twins. If your boyfriend complains that the condom is too small put it on his head, it will fit, or blow it up, they make great balloons! :P If he is allergic to the latex or the lubricant shop around there are water based lubes and condoms made from other materials.

First and foremost, you want to think about how much you like this guy. You first have to think about your own protection. How long have you been dating this guy???
Second, what kind of bc are you taking? Depo? a pill? it depends, becuz your own body will determine if it's too early or not. (If yes, then you're pregnant.)
My opininon, yes. wait until another 3 weeks. (-you're about your 4th week, wait two more weeks until after your body is supposed to ovulate.) This is only my opinion, so it really is up to you, but trust your conscious. Plus, if this is your first bc, you don't know if this one works best with your body chem. I've tried a total of 6, and the one I'm on right now isn't perfect, but it's the best I've found so far.

To tell you the truth, when I started birth control, I didn't know it wasn't safe the first day. I had sex with my boyfriend the day I started birth control, and I didn't end up pregnant. If you are both scared, I would continue to use a condom with birth control to be safe.

I am 28 and have 2 kids...
Best idea is to wait until you have been ont the pill at lest 4 weeks. Wait until you are on your second round. Make sure you take it as close to the same time as possible everyday. This will increase your chances of not getting preganat.

I don't care what kind of birth control you are on, dont let him "bust in you" unless you want to get pregnant. I was on the depo shot and I got pregnant. Use a condom as well.

i'd bypass with the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and performance at present had it bumped off to attempt for toddler volume 2. The IUD changed into painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week examine up after my daughter changed into born. that is secure to apply when you're nursing your new child, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not ought to fret about tablets or some thing else. the in ordinary words imagine i did not comprehend when I were given the Mirena is it quite is can take awhile on your menstral cycles to go back to favourite after having the IUD bumped off. I had mine bumped off in December 2008, and in the previous couple months my cycles have finally lower back to favourite, except that, I really recommend the IUD!

You are probably fine...If you want to make sure use a condom until you get your period. Once you start your new pack of pills you will be fine for sure. It all depends on when you started taking the Pill for the first time during your cycle. If you started fht first Sunday of your period than you will be fine. Usually pills start working after at least 7 days. Visit http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/files/portal/medicalinfo/birthcontrol/pub-contraception-pill.xml for more info
