i have a nipple peirced and im traveling via airplane soon...will my stainless steel barbell cause the metal detectors in the airport to go off?? this is important because im traveling with family and you know how awkward that can be...
just in case, i bought an acrylic barbell but i cant get the stainless steel one unscrewed....i mean, its impossible to remove the two balls. what can i do to loosen the balls on the stainless steel barbell in order to remove it???
please help!!!

i got it done 2 years ago and i havent travelled in a while...so i didnt expect this. and i didnt realize the balls on a barbell are screwed in so damn tight....

When I went to the airport my pierced nipples did not make the metal detector beep. They didn't beep when I went to a concert or an amusement park either. I've been through metal detectors many times and not once have they ever beeped. I've been pierced for about 5 years.

There are special pliers that they use to put the ball on the ring. You cant do it with your hands. I bought a small set of pliers for mine and it makes it loads easier to change bars and rings. By the way, you should not remove the ring/bar until you nipple has completely healed.
By the way, I fly all the time and its never set off the metal detector. Those machines are designed to detect large items such as a gun.

the thing you go through at the airport is a metal detector they are looking for things like guns, knives, loose change and stuff like that a stainless steel object should not go off for example people with feelings so you should be fine you can consult with airport security prior to your flight you will be fine

Small quantities of stainless steel would be pretty hard to detect,otherwise your fillings would set it off also.

My brother has LOTS of piercings,all over (and under).He was nervous because he was coming to visit my parents! They didn't go off,and he has at least 6.He DID tell the people that screen you.

Ok calm down first u should go to the place u got it pierced and ask the guy or girl. And if u dont get it in ti me u go first vbefore ur family and tell the officer guy their im sure it will work out.

OMG, you may have to have it cut off. But before you do that , find your favorite guy and let him try with all his heart to get it off for you. Then you not only get to enjoy his company, you get to have a little fun to. LOL. Lots of luck. I hope you get it off.

Maybe you should of thought of that before you pierced your nipple. You're on your own.
