see i am in a middle school band and nobody knows this but i actually like it...people say they hate it in my class but i think they enjoy it....why would someone lie about that??

lucky are those who can play an instrument. Sure, in band, you may not always be playing what you want, but it is good practice anyway. I'm glad you like it! The liers don't want to be though of as uncool, but hey, band is important for school spirit. You are an extention of your school team. Band is cool!

Because being a band geek is uncool. You can't actually like band, it's an unwritten rule. Like cheerleaders are supposed to be the cool people, or the fact that you can't be a jock and in drama. It's adolescent behavior that some people never grow out of. I'd just laugh at those people and say grow up, if you don't like it quit. It's stupid to do something, or think a certain way, because someone else wants you to.

It was common for people to make fun of "band kids" when I was in High School. Maybe this is why some who may enjoy band could be lying about it. I also took band in junior high. Personally, I enjoyed band class. In high school I took Marching Band as well, which I was proud of because my dad did it in high school too. But I also used to ditch band class because I didn't like the instructor in my freshman year of high school. Maybe they may like the class, but not the instructor?

Sarah, i will say Kiss when Ace Frehely and Peter Criss left the band in 1979-1980 when they both replaced by other people untill when Kiss did the reunion tour in 1996 but they still rocked through and my other one will be Van Halen with Sammy Hagar

i am going in to high school band and i like emo music and i think that band is really fun cuz u go on a lot of trips like to different states to compete and then u get to have fun the rest of your day and its an easy "A"

I played the Tenor Sax in 7th and 8th grade. I loved it and was proud to take that 10 pound instrument on the bus everyday...except the days I ditched. Just kidding!

well, I was never in band but I was in orchestra for quite a while and I enjoyed it alot. But I have a love of music and all forms of art so I guess that attributed to it.

a lot of people probaly be lie bout it. see i'm in 8th grade i play percussion......i hate my band teacher but i love band so when people say they hate the teacher it doesn't mean they don't like the subject.

u can give it a little spice by putting boxing gloves on the trombones & "accidentally" hitting the teacher with them!
