I do not agree with the Israel at all!! I think the Israeli people who are fighting against Palestine are cruel! If you have been there as an 'non' american you know what I am talking about! Israel stole Palestine from the Palestinian people and they should give it back!
Israel butters up to the Americans though most of them think of our culture as trashy! Everytime something happens to America, Israel strikes Palestine, so that the American people dont attract attention to what they are doing! For example: when Zarawqi was murdered, Israeli soilders killed a Palestinian family on a picnic near the Dead Sea, which caused great contrversy.. for what reason? Just because they were an easy target and they were from Palestine! If you saw the footage then you saw the little Palestinian girl about age 5 crying beside her dead fathers body, where her whole family was shot dead!
Cruel people those Israeli soilders!

Hamas are terrorists. Regardless of the fact they won a popular election or not, they're still terrorists.
You cannot have a serious political discussion with a group of people who a) want you dead and b) are willing to kill themselves in order to accomplish point a.
Israel is not the aggressor in this situation, they almost never have been. Israel is reactionary, meaning everything they are doing is a reaction. The current invasion of the gaza is and attempt to stop hamas from launching rockets into israel. (Similar to the mid-80's invasion of Lebannon for almost the same reason). Hamas kidnapped an israeli solider from Israel, israel reacts with artillery. Simple cause and effect. Pity the fact hamas tends to bring rocks to a missile fight....
To the lady who answered just before me, get real. The beach the family was on, was shelled because it was being used for rocket attacks by the terrorists.
You know, I get really tired of the Israelis and Americans alike being blamed for the deaths of civilians who do NOTHING to remove the terrorists from within their own population.They know exactly who they are, yet they do NOTHING about it. By accepting the fact they're there and it's just a part of their screwed up disgusting "culture" they are no better than the kids who blow themselves up on a school bus filled with children in Tel Aviv. Their death, while unfortunate and tragic for the children who died, is the result of a war in which they are willingly participating. No sympathy here.

I am no expert on this but here is some info I have compiled from speaking with people who are more educated on the middle east situation. Sorry about the spelling the spell check was not working.
Palastine comprises of both Muslims and Christians, and Jews. The government of Israel comprises of Zionist Jews who migrated from Europe. The Arab Jews, Christians and Muslims lived in peace until the Zionist came. Many times the chruches have offered santuary to the muslims, christians and jews against the Zionist Jews. Hamas was chosen by the people of Palastine in a democratic election process which was supported by USA; the outcome was not. Palastinians chose Hamas because they have been the only group who has provided food, medical help, water and base help needed to survive. Palastine does not have an army; Israel has a strong army consisting of tanks which level palastinean homes each day and weapons that kill civilians each day. This has been seen on T.V. Israeli soilders with guns and tanks fighting against people with rocks and make shift weapons. People of Israel are rich and enjoy many luxuries that palastinians can not even dream of. There are thousands of woman, men and children in Israeli jails who are being tortured and killed on a daily basis. Suicide bombers commit this act of desperation not because of religion but because they feel like they have nothing to loose since they have lost everything. At this point because a trained armed soilder has been taken by Palastinians. The people in the Gaza strip have been bombarded with bombs, cutting off of water, electricity, food etc People are trying to leave but all borders have been blocked so they can not scape.
Children have been screaming from the sound of bombs and watching their parents and sibling die. Mothers know that the water filled with sewage will be given to their thrusty children and they will die. We can not emagine our children without food or water for short periods of time much less this.
Finding out all this info made me so sad because Jesus christ showed such mercy, kindness and love towards all humanity in that land. We are so filled with hate for others with no sympathy or empathy for those that are unfortunate. We do not realize how short life is and when we leave we take nothing with us except our deeds.

i agree with what israel is doing. For the most part israel is aiming at government targets, unlike the palestinians, who are clearly targeting civilians, aka terrorism. Israel is a legitimate form of government, and has tried to work things out, however i do think both sides are unwilling to compromise, which is unfortunate.

I agree with Israel. And to the person two answers before me, Israel won Israel in a war just like america won it's land from Britain. They have been nice enough to reward egypt and palestine huge areas of land and offered to live side-by-side. Hamas, a known terrorist organization, refuses to recognize Israel.
